We have been very busy getting all of Jim's dentist and doctor appointments taken care of and seeing family. Jim has one more week in the USA. He leaves for Addis on October 1st and because of changes in flights will spend 12 hours in Frankfurt on his way. So he is trying to figure out about seeing more than just the airport but will have carry on bags so he has to see about storage before he can go into the city.

Jim is almost packed and ready to go. We are at my mom's so he can say goodbye to his family and mine up north and will be saying goodbye next week to the rest of the family.

I think I am getting settled in Saginaw and have to do some cleaning of my room and the computer room after Jim leaves. We have been storing the items he is taking in those two rooms. Then we used stuff that has been stored in the basement and won't need again for at least a year. So I told Shannon I plan on cleaning the basement after her dad leaves. So I will have some stuff to do for a while. I also plan on doing some cleaning at my mom's in the garage to better organize her stuff and see what I have left in the garage. I have already found empty storage tubs in the garage so I am sure we can take some of the stuff out of cardboard boxes to store in the plastic tubs. She also has file cabinets which we need to see what is in them in the garage.

Jim bought me a new laptop so I will be able to email him as our old desktop is not working any longer. I will be leaving the laptop at my mom's because Shannon has her computer in Saginaw for me to use there. We have decided to try Skype but not sure it will work in Addis. Skype is a way you can talk to a person over the computer. I have called Tom (my son) on his cell while he is out on the road and Shannon and Jim have been using it while we are up north and he has also talked to Nathan on it. You can talk if you have headphones with a mike.

I guess that is all for now. We ask for prayers for traveling and peace in Addis and the world. We will write again soon.

Love Pat
