Subject: Merry Christmas from Addis

It is Christmas morning and we are getting ready for Church. We had a good meeting with IFESH and a celebration of Christmas for us Americans on Christmas Eve and the 10th Anniversary of IFESH in Ethiopia. I made bookmarks for everyone at the party and we had drawn names so we exchanged gifts. Now we will attend Church and go touring after lunch with IFESH. I am not sure what the plans are but some want to go to the National Museum and some to other places so we will see what the options are this afternoon to see where we will go.
Jim is back to work tomorrow and I am taking the day off but will probably go to Gemini with Teydin one of the other TFA's because she wants to meet the dance group at the center. So I will go with her to visit and help her with directions. Some times getting around Addis can be hard and the youth center is not on a bus route and not all taxis know where it is. Other then that no plans for the week. We have signed up to go to Bombay for New Year's Eve. They have a special evening planned and it is only 150 birr a couple so the staff seemed happy we signed up last week.
Yonas came over and cleaned the apartment so it is ready for Christmas and Nathan's arrival. We have invited Yonas over for a dinner next week. But he is studying for Exams and won't be able to come until just before he leaves for Christmas with his family. Maybe we can plan the dinner for after Nathan arrives so Yonas will see us all before he leaves to his mother's. We are still trying to decide what to do for Ethiopian Christmas. So we may be cooking or going out to a student's house to spend Christmas with them.
